Barware · Clyro
The one you can leave on the table.
Every other electric opener looks like a cordless drill that wandered in from the garage. This one is a matte black column with a single angled collar, and it sits on a dressed table without apologising for itself.
The object
A column, not a gadget.
One unbroken matte black cylinder. One angled metal collar where it meets its base. No display, no rubber grip, no logo, nothing printed anywhere on it. The charging cradle is the same black, cut as a low cone, so the two read as a single piece standing up.
Leave it beside the decanter and it looks like it was bought for the room. That is the whole point — a tool you do not have to hide in a drawer between bottles.
The reason
Nobody wants to wrestle a cork in front of guests.
Set it over the neck, hold one button, and the cork is out in about eight seconds — then a second press walks it back off the worm. Old corks, synthetic corks, the crumbly ones from the back of the rack.
No forearm, no shredded cork in the glass, no theatre. The bottle is open and you are still talking to the person next to you.
How it goes
Three moves.
Cut the foil
The foil cutter sits in the box. Twist it once round the neck and lift.
Hold the button
Set the column over the cork, press and hold. It goes down, grips, and lifts.
Press again
The worm reverses and drops the cork out. Put it back on its base to charge.
The detail
What it actually does.
30+
Bottles a charge
A dinner party is not going to run it flat.
8 sec
To open
Down, grip, lift. Roughly the length of a sentence.
USB-C
Charging
Through the base. The same cable as everything else you own.

Finishes
Champagne gold or polished chrome, on the same black body.
Charge life is the maker's stated figure and depends on how tight the corks are.
Choose your finish
Two finishes, one column.
Pick a finish below and it sets the option at the top of the page.
One price, both finishes. Nothing struck through and no code to enter — we would rather just charge the right number.
The bottle should be the loudest thing on the table.
Where it lives
On the table, or on the sideboard.
Laid with the service
Standing at the head of the table beside the scarlet stems, black on black, it reads as part of the setting rather than as equipment that got left out.
Left out all year
On marble next to the decanter it is a small piece of sculpture. This is the rare bit of barware that does not need putting away.
It is also the easy present — for the host who has the glasses, the cellar and the corkscrew they hate.

Questions
Before you order.
Will it handle an old cork?
Usually, yes. The worm is long and turns slowly, which is what saves a brittle cork — a hand corkscrew pulled fast is what tears them. A cork that has already crumbled into the wine is beyond any opener.
Does it work on synthetic corks?
Yes. Synthetics are tighter than natural cork, so it takes a second or two longer, and it will still eject cleanly.
Screwcaps?
No — nothing electric opens a screwcap. Your hand is faster.
How long does a charge last?
Around thirty bottles, and it charges on its base rather than through a socket in the side, so there is no cable hanging off it on the table.
Is there a foil cutter?
Yes, in the box. A small black disc that sits over the neck; one twist and the foil lifts off.
Which finish should I pick?
Gold if your table runs warm — candles, brass, wood, the scarlet stems. Chrome if it runs cool — marble, steel, white linen. The body is the same matte black either way.
