The Half-Zip Denim Dress
A denim dress cut like a borrowed shirt. Polo collar, silver half zip, one chest pocket, sleeves wide enough to push up. It sits oversized on purpose, so the body is roomy and the hem lands mid-thigh.
Two washes: Washed Blue, faded through the shoulders, and Dark Denim, a deep even indigo. Both are 100% cotton, no stretch, and soften from the first wash. Take your usual size for the look in the photos, one down for a closer fit.

The cut
Oversized, not shapeless.
The shoulders drop, the sleeves flare, the body falls straight to mid-thigh. Nothing clings, which is exactly why it looks good on.
The half zip does the work. Zipped to the collar it reads as a shirt dress. Open to the pocket it reads as something you threw on and got right.
The denim
Two washes, one dress.
Washed Blue is faded through the shoulders and chest and darker at the hem, like a pair of jeans you have had for years.
Dark Denim is an even, deep indigo. Cleaner and sharper, the one for the evening and for anyone who likes their denim to look new.

How it gets worn
The day, and the evening after it.
With boots
Knee boots and bare legs, as in the photographs. When it turns cold, tights go under it and the dress stays the same.
With trainers
White trainers and a crossbody bag. Sleeves pushed up, zip open. The one you wear when you have nowhere to be.
Photographs are taken under studio light. Washed Blue varies a little from piece to piece, because a real wash does.

Which size do I take?
Your usual size gives the oversized look in the photographs. If you are between sizes, or you want it closer to the body, take one down.
Is it see-through?
No. It is a mid-weight denim, the same weight as a jacket. Nothing shows through in either wash.
Does it have stretch?
No. It is 100% cotton, which is why it holds its shape and why it softens rather than sags.
Will the colour run?
Dark Denim can shed a little indigo on its first wash, as new dark denim does. Wash it alone, cold, the first time. After that it behaves.
Can I wear it as a top?
Yes. Over jeans or leather trousers it works as a long overshirt, zip open. A lot of people buy it for exactly that.
